Hey folks,
I recently ordered a Jardine exhaust and forward controls from Dennis Kirk. The Jardine was pretty straight forward to install, but it leaks like h@LL...will have to tear it back down and use some "exhaust patch" which is like a fiberglass resin, or silicone (which I'm afraid will blow out) It is ashame that Jardine didn't make the pipe about a half inch longer...would have been a much better fit. The pipe does sound great, though!
I also installed a set of forward pegs on the Savage as well (highway pegs) I used the one that cost arounf $113 from Dennis Kirk. They are great!! They were easy to install, and are very comfortable for my 6'1" 260lb. frame!! I must note that I have a 2000 Harley Sportster, and the Savage is my wife's...but I very much enjoy the Savage. My wife had a honda Rebel (2000) for one month, and put almost a thousand miles on it! Now it is for sale since she got her Savage..and she LOVES the Savage...lots more power, with the expense of very littel weight (about 300lbs for the Rebel and about 350lbs for the Savage). I have not done the white spacer yet, but look forward to it...along with the brass plug removal. I will keep you updated. Sp far, I have noticed increased top-end with the Jardine, as well as "instant" yellowing of the pipe (within 2 miles!) Well, that's all for now.
